Yesterday evening I rescued a scrapped Holdsworth frame and forks. I've found the frame number 4169 which points at 1938, it's on the seat lug and forks. It also has 144 on the bb shell and again also on the forks. Initially I was thrown off by the later head badge with crown. It's an odd one, but I absolutely love it and it's exactly my size.

Nice find well done

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Looks a nice track frame. I wondered there PlanetX had got the Roi de Velo name from for their track bikes. And I'm not sure the 'new' version's better - this is mine which I raced yesterday at Derby:

Yours would suit grasstrack nicely.

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
It's now totally stripped down. The rear hub spacing is tiny, about 105mm. So I'm going to adapt a modern track hub.
I will be using the original post, saddle, brake set and bars. I'll build new wheels, using some old tubulars I have. And I've contacted Colour Tech for a respray.

This is going to look good when it's finished. We'll need photos of course.
Could you post some of the stripped down frame also. Please.

A couple of updates. Had a call to say the paint is done, though I can't collect for a while.
And two days ago I collected a set of period BH Airlite wheels, and they're the very rare green anodized ones.
I had the frame enameled in a drab green so perfect
