Have you seen this thread from a couple of years ago? http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php/686002-Carlton-Corsair.
Seems to be a mint blue Corsair.

There can't be many thirty-odd year old bikes in that sort of original condition. Mind you, rubbish saddle!! I expect yours, like every other bike you have, at least has a nice Brookes on it!

at mo mine does not have a brooks on it cant decide what to fit at mo

been using the Corsair this week for commuting on seeing as roads dry and bike has no gaurds fitted , a truly great easy bike to ride totally enjoyable just need to sort the right saddle out

Try the VCC library for Carlton catlogues, plenty on there from the late 70s/early 80s era.

Unusual to get variations in catalogue bikes from Raleigh...they were built by bean counters who wanted everything to be churned out the same. Some export bikes ended up in the UK so could be a USA jobby
