1st Commute done

Finally done my first commute this morning, roads were ok. It was a bit strange when i started to pass some cars because the tracffic had ground to a halt. That was quite good.
I managed the 7 miles in about 30mins, quite pleased with that for a first attempt. Managed to grab a quick shower in work but i had forgotten any shower gel, hope i've not forgotten anything else.

Well done, you'll get to a point where not commuting by bicycle seems strange and boring.

Unfortunately i have a course coming up soon and i will not be able to take my bike and i am not happy, just want to get some miles under my belt.

At least you've started at the right time of the year. You have all spring and summer to make it a habit before the colder weather starts to kick in.

My big dread is forgetting my trousers. Can see the scenario now, sat at the desk in a shirt and tie looking normal. Stand up and go to the coffee machine to reveal a shirt, tie and cycle shorts!! Not a good look!

Well done for starting. I am in the same boat, just started last week. So far so good and I actually look forward to the journey to work, so much more fun than sitting in traffic.

First 26mile round-trip commute for me today. That bit was fine, it was the 5:20am start which killed me.
