2 kids bikes needed

Ok so my wife and I have been lax, we were given an awful Barbie themed thing a couple of years ago but it was only ever a joke.

Both kids are way beyond their balance bikes so can anyone make suggestions for a 4 year old boys bike and a 5.5 year old girls bike.

Brands to watch or avoid etc...

Isla bikes or Frog seem popular well made options which also hold their value

Pinnacle good too. Anything from a 'proper' bike shop rather than toys r us or supermarket specials. With the age your kids are I would make sure you get aluminium frames if you can. Much easier for them to handle.

Definitely avoiding toys r us. Some of the bikes are heavier than mine!

Carrera cosmos 14 at halfords is another to look at for the smallest one. Currently £20 off. Other carreras look like they would be ok too.

The Wiggins range is worth looking at as well - they do a whole range of kids / junior bikes from balance bikes through to full sized roadies.

Isla bikes every time...you almost get your money back when reselling, so you've effectively got a really good kids bike for free...
