At the start of the year, I was 17 st 5 lb. My aim by christmas this year was to be 14 stone. Today I reached 13 st 12. So am very pleased.

When I started cycling to work, I still weighed 16 st. But I did not start cycling to work until the 12 June.

So in just over 3 months of cycling, its helped shift 2 stone, more than 5 months at the gym!

Secondly since starting to commute by bike, yesterday I clocked up my 2000th mile, which is more astonishing than the weight loss.

2000 miles is such a long way !

I have never felt so good, so me and the wife are off to the coast for some fish and chips, and boy they will taste so good !

Thanks to all on here for the humour, the support and the advice.

Keep rolling !

Not quite as impressive as your achievement, but still really rewarding for me:

I used to have terrible acne problems - My only form of excercise was playing squash at the weekend every week... Now that I ride to work, and normally do at least 40 miles over the weekend, I seem to spend more time in the sun, and sweat alot more, which seems to have helped clear my face a great deal....

Of course it could be the heavy anti-biotics, taking 10000% of my recommended daily dose of vitiman d cacium panthenthanate, or tea tree oil, but I'd like to think that it's the cycling...
