From that absolute bitch the fairy. 5ish mile into my commute, front went flat. Tube out, piece of glass out new tube in. Happy Days.
A mile down the road, I heard a pssssssssssshhhh from the back wheel. Balls. No spare tube. Pumped the tyre up as much as I could be bothered. Got about 2 mile from work and decided to walk as it was now flat as a pancake. 45 mins late, and it started to pour with rain. Not a happy bunny this morning. So much for puncture resistant tyres!

Always but always carry at least two tubes!! Bad luck though, always awful walking a bike..

Absolutely - done it quite a few times on the cyclepath around Swansea Bay ! When you say 'puncture resistant tyres' though, what did you have ? Kevlar belted ones or self-sealing slime in your tyres ?

For how often the fairy visits me ... usually once or less a year - the puncture resistant tyres are worth it. Mine front tyre is getting quite a few cuts in it and fairly worn so I'm probably due another one soon unless I get around to replacing it.

Two tubes and a pack of parks self stick patches :-) but even then have had to walk a bike before as no tyre p perfect!
