Congratulations, Lazy! I'd be willing to bet, that 2000 miles is more than MOST bikes get put on them, in their entire "lifetime."

well done.... A little and often is the way to do it in my view
My cycling has gone down since I started triathlons 2 yrs ago, but swimming and running has gone up. But I am as fit as a fiddle and 40 pounds less than I was at my peak 5 years ago. YIPPEEEEEE

I've had to learn a few basic bits and bobs of maintenance of course, but that's a good thing. And my LBS has been very helpful in keeping me rolling .. although they've done quite good business out of me, I guess.
And a couple of weeks ago, based on next year's projected mileage, Mrs-LC made the big mistake of saying, "you'll be needing a new bike soon before you wear that one out". Hee hee hee.
I won't be letting her forget that.
