I have seen one of these for sale at £225, but I reckon flashing £200 at the seller (an independent bike shop) might do the trick.
Although 2 years old, it has hardly been used. Hardly any signs of wear, and has mudguards fitted.
I think these originally retailed about £375 when new.
So n+1 beckons once more. Good buy, or goodbye?

There's a 2 month old 7.3 in the classifieds for £290 seems a better deal. £525 rrp

Thanks for the heads-up re that one. It is indeed a better bike and a better deal. Good looking bike, and the right size too.

Only problem is, it's in County Durham, so by the time I factor in courier costs, it's going to work out a good bit more expensive than the local(ish) one. I might PM the seller and chance my luck though!

Hi, I'm the seller of the 7.3FX - would be prepared to meet part way, say Carlisle, as I have a mate who lives there & there's a good bike shop (Scotbys) there that has a couple of models I am interested in. Ring me on 07785 933894 if you're interested.

Haven't sold it yet!
You have now . Got home late last night after visiting ex girlfriend in Gateshead and repossessing my old Carrera MTB, so got 2 new additions yesterday!

The Trek looks like a great bike. Been spending the morning fitting a few bits and pieces. Hoping to get out for a wee ride later. Was good to meet you yesterday. Enjoy the Cube Peleton Pro, you didn't waste any time!

Decided to make use of the fact that my car had the seats folded down ready! At least that's what I told SWMBO. Fitted my pedals, lights & Cateye last night, all I need now is some reasonably clement weather on Saturday to give it a decent test ride.

I have a 7.3, but the disc brake version. Took a while to sort out the fit but once that was done I am well pleased with it. You shouldn't be disappointed.

Had it out this afternoon for a 23 mile maiden trip. Was very impressed with it; a very nice riding position and a good smooth ride. Oh, and it's good for 40mph (down a hill with a tailwind) ;). Thanks to said tailwind, and the fact I was carrying a set of newly purchased mudguards (now fitted), I got the train home.

Your weather must have been better than here in the NE - it absolutely tipped it down all afternoon, loads of standing water on the A1 on the way home from work. The nearest I got to cycling was calling in at the new Cube shop in Durham to buy a bottle cage for my Peleton Pro! It's only been open since last Saturday (previously Infinity) but has loads of goodies for me to add to my Xmas list!

A lap of the Isle of Bute in cold sunshine today. Would it be sad to admit that I am bonding well with the Trek? ^_^; I am thoroughly enjoying it.
