BTW Anyone else seen Rush? IMHO the best F1 film since Grand Prix, which I saw in Leicester Square cinema in the 1960s . I've been an F1 fan ever since!

Agreed. A tyre management race isn't particularly compelling.

The sound is something the telly can't really reproduce. The worst F1 car I ever heard was Jacque Villeneuve's BAR about 13 years ago when they used to cut power on corners for traction control. Damp in the distributor I reckon.

I spend more time watching the racing that got me interested in F1 on youtube than I do watching the current races I think. Still a fan of 1 tank of fuel, 1 set of tyres, off you go, first to the end is the winner. That would make it interesting, perhaps we should suggest it to the FIA, or Bernie...

Senna is an exemplary documentary, even for those not into the car racing. If you can find it on BBC4 or the interbob, the doc "Grand Prix, The Killer Years" is also compelling viewing.

Senna and rush are incredible, I love both and have watched rush twice this week alone! (Picked up a bluray on release day which is very unlike me)

I actually appreciate the difference s in design being so blatant, I still wish they'd bring back refueling though, much better strategies then
