2014 Tour de France to start in Leeds!

A quick look at an OS map would have revealed the splendours of the 'Forest of Pendle' just a couple of miles to the north, or go the other side of Pendle Hill and you have the lovely Ribble valley. It was a big mistake to take the easy option and just bomb along the main road!

I usually use the pedals on my bike to 'teleport' myself and the rest of the bike over there!

We did. We got the best weather, the best football teams, the best beer (well, JOINT best beer), the prettiest women, the best scenery, the highest mountains ('till they took Furness off us), and when there was that 'war of the hoses' due to the drought of a few years ago, the yorkies used to say the water they were robbing off us with those long pipe things tasted funny; well it would 'cos me and my mates were ****ing in it!

I've ridden in Lancashire lots of times and I can honestly say that it didn't rain on me once!

Well if you are going to do the route, get there before the road works start.
It will be the only bit of road in England that is pothole free
