2015 Fuji Gran Fondo 2.5

I have a Fuji road bike (womans) and love it. I covered +5,000 miles on it between getting it and my back going on me in November last year. Covered a +100 mile ride on it with no problems and routinely commuted a 22 mile journey each way (3 times a week). Changed the wheels on mine, but mine was half that price!
Fuji are an Japanese make founded over 100 years ago I think hence why they are not really known over here. There is nothing wrong with that and parts are not an issue. I really love mine and it makes a change from the standard bikes that are out there. Nice to have something different.

Go test ride. Evans make it extremely easy to do so

Also ride the Cannondale if that's the one you like. Just because it's your first roadbike, doesn't mean you must go for a relaxed or less racy geometry, unless perhaps you have back, neck or other joint or flexibility issues. Everyone is different in what will and won't be right for them, and you won't know without riding a few

What is important for comfort is that the bike is the right size for you (don't be pushed into buying a particular size because that is what is on the shop floor at the time), size guides will give you some indication of which sizes to try out. Also, make sure it is set up right for you

I ended up buying it and I love it! Thanks for everyone's comments. I def recommend the bike for anyone looking for a relaxed geometry, yet still a fast well equipped bike. Love the look of the bike as well! Very happy owner
