Ahem...

I don't much like 'country' music, but I made an exception for him because of his mad appearance and slightly anarchic singing. I had one old album, 'Carney', a classic. Especially 'Tightrope'.

Leon's solo stuff wasn't really country, his alter ego Hank Wilson's was though. He was originally a session musician and played on a million hits in the late 50s and through the 60s. He was great.
