This belonged to a friend of the family. He recently passed away unexpectedly, leaving his widow with the car. She is an OAP and doesn't even drive so hasn't got a clue, so asked if I would help her try and sell it.
It's a 2017 5 door Hyundai Tucson in a nice metallic brown shade.
Very good condition. Bodywork is straight and true, no rust, no dents, no gashes or gouges. The only 'damage' is on the NSF door, very fine scratches where it may have brushed past a hedge or suchlike. The scratches are so fine they don't even photograph properly, they're that insignificant, and a rub with a damp fingertip maked them disappear which suggests a very light polish would remove them.
Interior is straight, no tears, fag burns.
Only 43,000 miles. The DVLA MOT history corroborates this.
1.7 CDTi motor, 115ish BHP. Engine is oil tight and runs well.
6 speed gearbox.
Despite having stood a while it started first whiff of the key and I can confirm it stops and goes properly.
Partial service history. The widow recokons it has been serviced annually but she can't find all the paperwork. She has found some, and the service book shows it's had at least 3 services. As we can't corroborate the full history it is being advertised as a partial history.
MOT until June 2026.
Both keys and V5 are present.
Bad points:
OSR door intermittently does not open (it opened fine for me today, but I'm told that's not always the case.) OSR tyre has a slow puncture which takes a couple of weeks to go down. It had been booked in for both to be sorted but the owner passed before the date rolled around, and as the widow doesn't drive she's not been able to take it in herself. It has stood a while so looks slightly shabby in the pictures, but that is just 6 weeks of British weather. It is actually in very nice condition.
All in all a very straight car and the condition reflects the low mileage. The widow needs it gone but she also needs the cash more than ever, so I've set what I think is a fair price that reflects the cars low mileage and generally excellent condition while undercutting all the comparable cars I can find on Autotrader (most either cost more, have significantly higher mileage for that age, or both) while leaving a bit of financial wiggle room for the new owner to sort the tyre and door. Were I needing a car I'd genuinely not hesititate in buying this for myself.
So Im asking £6500 ONO.
