Pog didn’t look at his best there but maybe saving a bit for Sunday that suits him more. You don’t very often see a small group able to match one of his attacks.
Isn't entirely unusual. Probably coming off a big training block with too much fatigue, will ride into shape and peak for Worlds. Goof thing there was no PTP, I would have probably gone for the lazy Pog pick. 😅

Always nice to see JA turn back the clock.

You (inadvertently) raise an interesting point, there.
Will the Europe based pros who just visit for the 2 races bother trying to acclimatise to Canadian time or will this just have been an evening crit to them?

Nah Pog's washed up. We need an "Is it time Pog swallowed his pride and retired?" thread.

Incredible to see Alaphilippe winning by, err..., using his head and staying in the wheels, instead of losing by attacking with panache and getting spat out the back 30 seconds later

Looking down the startlist for today's Memorial Marco Pantani I see 18 year old Lorenzo Finn gets an outing with the big boys. Wouldn't expect to much from him but still interesting.
A very good effort from young Lorenzo Finn, he managed 15th in the race in a group of 12 riders at 50 secs behind the winner Storer .
