Ganna out aswell...not sure what the "obvious reasons are"

“I won’t be at the Worlds for obvious reasons related to the course, but I’m working to prepare for the European Championships"

I think the profile is a fairly obvious reason - Remco and Pog will murder pretty much any classic TTer (big lads with high power) on that

Yea take your point but first time in how many years he hasn't ?....he's already named Pog as the winner, doesn't think Remco has a chance.
I'm a big Pog fan but feck is it frustrating that riders write themselves off before they even ride.At least there's Remco and his confidence in himself.

Team members have taken a range of vaccinations, including for hepatitis A, tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, typhoid, Het Laatste Nieuws reports.

The Belgian team's precautions, plus boiling all water.
That might put some riders off too.

With the exception of typhoid, most people will have had those as standard

Presumably malaria prophylaxis too

What do we reckon then for ITT Pog...Remco and Vine in no particular order ? Fancy Vine after his Vuelta TT.

My money is on Remco*
He's only ever been beaten by Pog in actual mountain TTs, in the 2nd or 3rd week of the TdF - this year when he was clearly not well (first TT outside the top ten in four years and DNF the next day) and last year over col d'Eze to Nice.

*not literally, I made a decision long ago to avoid adding gambling to my over-large collection of vices

Yea I'm torn between them if they're both in top shape....I'm mean Remco on an ITT course like this, theres nobody better, class to watch !
But it's Pog and on a TT bike with climbs....man it's going to be close I reckon.

Agree about the gambling....had a tenner on Pog in Montreal at evens....it was a sure thing for me, and then he goes and gifts the race to Mcnulty ffs 🤣
