Ride to Berlin to see sex pistols jul 4. Damned jul 6. Then back to hull via Rotterdam and ride to Blackpool for rebellion festival. After that Not sure. ?

Early stages of planning a ride from home via Harwich/ Hook to Maastricht and then the Vennbahn ( a cycle path on an old railway line that is Belgian territory within Germany in places) all via some national parks for a spot of birding. Then bimbling back through Belgium and south NL. Will probably go in late April/ early May next year as this years early April NL trip was a little chilly, and there should be a few more summer migrants turning up by then too.

All booked - overnight ferry Harwich to Hook tomorrow then 10 days or so relaxed riding across NL and Belgium to Maastricht then just into Germany and then return. Really looking forward to this one, once the longish slog to Harwich is out of way.

My plans are changing, as plans do.

I need and want to spend time with my son and partner who live in Groningen, so I'll be train/ferry/cycling there in May for the fourth consecutive year.

I've a loose plan to take the train to Aberystwyth with a friend and cycle home to Somerset. Probably in early July.

Since finding the train can take me from Somerset to Derby in not much over two hours I have a hankering to cycle home from there.

A 9 day cycle tour of the Scottish Borders in April. An 11 day hut to hut walking tour in the Alps in late August / September.

Other plans afoot but waiting on some details before commiting.

Too late, I passed by in that fine settled weather of early April. Most enjoyable, including a night on Arran whilst completing the coastal circuit. The Scottish Borders are quiet and under appreciated me thinks.
