2027 Tour de France doesn’t come past my house thread

Can’t wait The Trough of Bowland is literally on my doorstep. In fact it’s part of one of my go to loops (160 times and counting ) It’ll be good to not only watch but the road surface will need a lot of work on it so will benefit the local cycling community afterwards.

Ooh, could be a trip in the van.... where to go to watch ? Watch Stage 1 finish in Carlisle, catch stage 2 somewhere, and fly to finish in Liverpool (might require hotel and parking). Get up early and tootle the 70 miles to Welshpool for the start on day 3

Too fast & flat around Jubilee Tower, the steep bit is further back. Waddy Fell more promising I think, but they'll need to fix the tarmac on the descent

The pretty much usual, over Caerphilly mountain ToB stage.
A couple of other climbs added but too far from the finish.
Reduced buncho sprinto in Cardiff, as usual.

My niece did the ITV Wales news interview.

3000m+ of climbing- that is a lot. 8 categorised climbs. Plus fairly early the horrible climb out of Newtown which is uncategorized.
