25c vs 25

What is the difference? I had 25c's on & have just bought 25's they seem to be fine, but was just wondering.

Nope the Kenda tyres I took off were 25c & the Continentals I put on are just 25 didn't realise until after the event & it was only when I came to throw the old ones away I noticed they were 25c's, everything works & feels okay, just wondered what the actual difference was.

The "c" written after the tyre width usually stands for clincher, which is the style of tyre (as opposed to tubular). The fact that Continental have chosen not to put it on the tyre doesn't affect the size.

Thanks Phil, what made it even more confusing is that Continental offer both 25 & 25c although the c type were more expensive.
