Hi all and a Happy New Year

i have an 11 year old Colnago Exreme C but although I can fit a 25mm tyre to the front wheel I’m having trouble with that size on the rear, mainly because the brake bridge is too low. I’ve tried it on a Hunt Road Aero semi deep section rim and the original Ambrosio rim purchased with the bike but with either rim the tyre rubs the brake bridge. I’ve tried Continental S500’s and Schwalbe Pro One’s. Has anyone got a solution/suggestion as I may have to sell the bike or frame to suit my current riding needs. Thanks in advance for you help.

Presume vertical dropouts?
I guess the frame was originally intended for 23mm or less. The latter was the accepted standard a while back.

To lower the wheel away from the brake bridge, I read on another forum that you can fashion a shim to lower the arch by a mm or 2. In the article, they used a couple bit of a spoke held in by plastic padding.

Good luck
