2nd hand bikes

I work for a German company and we regularly have year long secondments come over to the UK. One has just started and wants to cycle to work. She doesn't want to spend a lot on the bike and is wondering if there are any 2nd hand / restored bike shops in the Leeds/Wakefield/York/Pontefract/Wakefield/Sheffield areas? I don't have a lot of knowledge about these. Can anyone suggest places please?
