I leave to start my tour in 3 days time. Getting the Bike Express to Roses - anyone else on the coach?
The plan is to cycle to Gibraltar, cutting inland via Grenada (which I know will require some serious climbing!) Then all the way home through the interior of Spain and France. I've just started a blog which is on my signature.

I rode part of the coastal route south out of France some years ago, I found the coastal route too manic for me and so i headed inland onto quieter roads. Looking at your Blog I see you rode the Dover- Durness route, I rode the reverse 4 years ago unsupported and using quite a few of the Land-rover tracks that join the different valleys. And a much easier to get to than JOG, because of the Bike Bus from Inverness Rail Station

I have done UK to Gibraltar via the Atlantic coast and then across Spain. Can strongly recommend the main road down Western Spain n620 or n630... See my blog www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/julian2012

The bad news is this tour came to an abrupt end when I got food poisoning. I came home to recuperate. The good news is now fully recovered and am heading back on 13th June to continue the journey
