Your post starts TBF and then you mention someone was falsely accused. Which I felt was implying he too might be falsely accused.
However if that was not the case I apologise.

Basically yes and to have a bit of a look back as we normally do on RIP threads, unfortunately sometimes the deceased has turned out to be not a good person but that doesn't mean to me they cannot be talked about.

John Alford is just someone I was familiar with on television for many years in the 1990s, when simply being on TV and having a few duff pop records was enough to be quite famous. After the drugs sting he dropped off my radar apart from the odd mention whenever NOTW dodgy reporting came up, until I read that he was found dead in prison (his imprisonment was news to me as well).

I think (im sure someone will correct me ) but some on here dont like the RIP (rest in peace) part as that's normally reserved for seemingly nice people.
