Cramp is normally due to insufficient salt too, consider taking something on your ride that has a little salt input. Some riders even suggest putting a small amount in your drink, but I've never been able to think of anything more vile! Check the statistics of your food you bring with you, some biscuits may help.
I almost always put a small pinch of salt into my lime juice cordial concoction - I can't taste it and it seems to have cured the cramps that I suddenly started getting last year after quite short rides.
I may have got my numbers slightly adrift- but given the headwind speed of around 15mph, (I was cycling round the edge of an airfield- flat as a pancake & no bloomin' wind breaks anywhere) my weight (considerable) the weight of my bike (18lbs) & my average speed of about 15 - 16mph it came up with around 300 watts... come to think of it I don't think that's right either... who cares... me LEGS BLOODY HURT....!!!
