3D aerial route animation?

Hi people, wondering if anyone can help.
I’ve watched some cool route videos in the past that look as though they’ve been recorded by some sort of cycling computer and then converted on a PC to a sort of animated 3D view from above of the ride.
Just wondering if anyone knows how I can create these animations or point me in the right direction. Sorry for the vague question but I can’t find any of the vids on YouTube anymore, but I’m hoping someone will know the sort of thing I mean?

You've probable seen videos created by Relive which took GPS data uploaded from subscriber's rides and turned them into a video graphic.

Yup, relive.cc
They used to be a lot simpler to link up with Strava and the videos were made automatically. As soon as some actual effort became necessary, I stopped using it
