4 beers - £26.10

Chances are the bar is south of Luton, and most of the people drinking in the bar are doing so for the 'image' of drinking in 'that' bar....

They're wired differently down there, I tell you........

Ordered twice so no mistake.

Apart from the mathematical impossibility of the total. I'm shocked! I hope you told them you were only renting the beers and would be leaving them in the toilets to drain back into their badly kept kegs!

I once bought a box of 48 packets of crisps for a party and watched in shock and awe as the till girl rang in the price of one packet at a time. As this was a long time ago and the price was 3 1/2p per packet (OK! OK! A very long time ago!) she saw nothing wrong with asking me for £1.64 1/2. As she'd already wasted several minutes I paid and left shaking my head.

Presumably you didn't ask? I expect given the high cost, they added a service charge of some sort and didn't bother to tell you - hotel?
