Good Luck in the new job - I'm sure it'll make a big difference doing a job you actually want to do rather than one you have to just tolerate.
The best job departure I ever had was when, after a "disagreement" with my line manager, I handed in my 4 weeks notice. I immediately agreed with personnel that I could give up the three weeks holiday I had due against my notice period so I only had to work another 5 days. The trouble was no one told the line manager. The day before I was due to leave he asked me to document the company payroll systems I looked after. His face was a picture when I asked him for a Post-It note for me to write it on.
