45 Quid for a Christmas tree!!!

I popped into our local greengrocers to ask the price of a tree!! £45!!! All sizes too.

To justify the price he told me it was a Nordic wotsit from Scotland and was a sustainable one. How so, I said, you just chopped it down.

I'll chop one of the neighbour's Leylandii down in the dead of night and use that. Bah!

We go the eco route.

We have a fake one we put up each year. Had it so long I can't remember how much it cost and no trees have been sent to the tip since we got it.

We have a genuine artificial one. It's years old and doesn't say it was Made in China on the box. Antique of the future!

If I go "out of town" for a christmas tree I take my bushman saw and don't expect to pay anything.

Plastic here - and green, not black/pink/silver or blue.....

We occasionally get a real one, but they take up so mush space, they are nice though.

We once got one that was dug up with a root ball, so replanted in the garden after Xmas - a lovely 3ft blue bushy one. It grew well for a few years, but was attacked one summer by some black insects, and just died - fought a battle with the buggers.......... grr
