Wow indeed - but the bit that made me sit bolt upright was (typically) tucked away half-way through and kind of peripheral to the main thrust: "But what we are losing it to now is mainly sea-level rise, running at 6mm a year." 6mm a year? Yegods! So all that stuff about the shrinking Arctic ice is true after all. That means in just a decade, the sea level will be more than 2" higher than it is today. That's spooky...
