Oops typo meant 06 not 09 but I'm still pleased At a guess I reckon it was only about 10,000 in the first 2 years and 30,000 in the lasts 3 years.

0 miles 1996-2008,
30 miles in 2009
150 miles in 2010 - which was when I promised myself a new bike.

Then 3325 in 2011
6650 in 2012
... and 950 so far in 2012

So a bit of an increase!

As for HLaB ... I could imagine doing that kind of mileage (kmage?) if I were retired and living in a country with a good climate all year round, but he has done it while working in the UK with its crappy winters and summers over the past 4 years. Respect!

Ah - just updated to a more human 6.5 years, but that is still nearly 8,000 miles a year!

Still very impressive amount of miles, it will be a very long time before I am anywhere near those mileages.

I'll be pleased if I do 4,000 miles this year, but I would like to be able to consistently average above 20mph by the end of it.
