They're forcing the issue, which is no bad thing really.
I'll have to change my habits. I always use the free carrier bags, but theyALWAYS get at least one more use, either as refuse bags (I pick the litter in the street every morning while I i walk the dog)..or for general waste in the house. I'll have to buy 'proper' waste bags AND pay for shopping bags. No big deal...the quality of free bags has declined to the point they often split while you're putting the shopping in them...for that reason, I'd resent paying 5p for them.
From my perspective, nothing will be saved...I'll have to buy plastic refuse bags now, something I didnt do before.
We brought better shopping bags this week in preperation.
