Riding between Hoddesdon and Broxbourne today. To be honest I wasn't concentrating as well as I should have been and I drifted a bit further to the left than I normally position myself. As I approached a bus stop a bus pulled alongside me. I knew he was there but I thought he was going to hang back until I cleared the bus stop. He gave me plenty of room and I have no problem, however I then thought he was going to cut in to stop at the bus stop which would have been a problem. He didn't though, he stopped well away from the kerb and I could just see his arm waving me through his nearside. Once past the front of the bus I heard the bus doors open. At no time was I at risk and wasn't especially bothered by the incident. I should have been paying more attention to what was going on around me and my road positioning and the bus really ought to have just hung back for a few seconds.
