Is it possible to use a 7 speed freewheel MTB on a Tacx Flux S?
Very new to all of this, can you use a 7 speed cassette and spacers? Anything else that I would need? New chain/ derailleur?
affordable compatible bikes are difficult to come by at the moment.

No, the freewheel body is 8/9/10/11 speed only.

Yes. Actually. My 7 speed MTB tuns on Mavic CrossRide wheels, which has a 8,9,10,11 speed freehub. I put on 2 x 3mm spacers first, then the 7 speed cassette. You will have to slightly adjust your indexing.

Fair enough, I just pulled the manual out of the drawer for my old one
