On the road to nowhere
I'm after some ideas of what your 8-10 year olds are asking for this xmas. My daughter is strangely quite about it even though the shops, radio and TV are in full xmas mode.

she has every electronic gadget going (grandparents are getting her a new ipad), almost all Lego friends and recently had an as-new bike and a cycling jacket. I'm going to get her some clothes but I dont have any toy/gadget ideas as she is at a strange (to me) age where she isn't a young child nor a teenager.

HELP PLEASE

Mine's getting a Lego Friends Hotel and a Nintendo DS3 XL.

I'll be getting a tangerine in a sock.

A chocolate doughnut. Seriously.
Apparently she asked last year and it wasn't in her stocking. She's been waiting all year

Fair weathered, fair minded but easily persuaded.
I am 47.

My Dad has NEVER been stuck for what to buy me.

Throughout the year he will have been given hundreds of hints as to what i like.

Whether he heard them or not is another matter as my mum always bailed him out and bought the presents.

My youngest is 10, her past couple of years presents have been a telescope, ukulele and blasted sylvannian animals.
This year she's asked for headphones but I think she may be getting a bike.

lots of make type things...... t shirts and pens that she can draw on to tshirts with..... modelling balloons..... marbelling paper kits.... soap making kits..... crystal garden.... stuff you can do together..... sometimes its nice to have lots of little things rather than a couple of big things, and it takes the pressure off a bit as well, cuz you can experiment with buying things she hasn't asked for
