Hi and welcome and good luck!
You can do it if you start putting the miles in now.
Hope it's not too hilly.
Actually, according to Strava it IS fairly hilly - approximately 2,000 m worth of climbing. That is quite a lot for a novice cyclist to do in about 130 km.

Just build up to it steadily, DJ. I'd want to be comfortable doing (say) a 100 km ride with 1,500 - 1,600 m of climbing a week or two before the event. If so, the excitement of the day should get you through it in good shape.

Have fun!

Two thousand metres of climbing puts a different complexion on things.

If I have my comparisons correct, the ride is about twice as hard as the hilly 40 miler I recently did with @ColinJ and chums.

Two circuits of that would have been very hard.

I accept any rider can take some extra climbing and distance in his stride, but the Barnsley ride is a lot more than a time in the saddle challenge.

The OP is currently doing 30-odd mile rides, so will need preparation for Barnsley.

There is time to do it, but I think Colin is spot on when he says the OP needs to have chalked off a couple 50/60 mile/1,500m of climbing rides in advance to be confident of making a reasonable fist of Barnsley.
