9-spd cassettes for road bike - will any do?

If you have Shimano 9 spd shifters then yes that cassette will do.

The smaller cassettes like 11-25 will make a difference if you regularly use the big sprocket at the back and little ring at the front as it will be harder to get up hills. I'd pay the extra £3 odd and get a 12-27t from another shop.

That type is fine but unless you want to start messing with chain lengths and rear mech stop screws stick to the same as you have.

With rear cassettes the more you pay the less you get!

So really nothing wrong with a "standard" one
