sounds painful dude . hope you keep the finger , but if they do take it off just think it as less grams to cycle with and how much it would have cost you in upgrading to lighter components . good luck with the op

PS Lets hope the bike is OK. Seems mad that one of the first things we do is tend to worry about replaceable items rather than ourselves but that's exactly what I did when I had my first off - "have I scratched my bike?" Closely followed by "sh1t I'm bleeding!"
