Ah, Tony Iommi is one of those left handers who plays guitar the 'wrong' way round.

My late pal did. I remember him getting his first guitar (a right-handed one) and him swapping all the strings round despite the guitar not being set up properly for that and him not being able to play. I couldn't see why it would be more difficult for him to learn with the strings left as they were.

I went round a left hander a bit too fast and ran off the road. The next thing I knew I was over the bars and sliding down the tarmac face first. It is the first time I have worn a helmet in ages and I could hear the visor being scraped to pieces. That would have been my forehead. I wasnt a convert, but I am now.

While I have been in here it has given me time to reflect. It has frightened me and at 57 I need to ease off a bit. I dont bounce and get up as well as I once did. But in a few months I may feel different.

I have quite a few weeks of pain to get through before I will be back on a bike but I wiĺl be going home today. If you want to feel really ill go and stay in a hospital.

My first priority is to get my World Traveller into the bike doctor for a good checkup.

Thanks for al your good wishes. It helps.

PS. I do not play any musical instrument.

I have already started researching folding trikes. I used to have a non folding ICE trike but it took up too much space. Maybe 3 wheels will be safer than 2.

I'm a lefty and play a left hand guitar. I remember having guitar lessons at school playing a righty... but it just didn't work for me and i got nowhere with it. It was only years later when i swapped the strings around that i actually learnt to play something.
