Need for steeds
Depends on the material of the seat post. If it's alloy then it's probably going to be cut out. Coke is no good for steel against alloy as the resulting corrosion of the alloy does not dissolve under acidic conditions. Force isn't that much better as the areas that corrode act like spot welds.

If it's a steel seat post then you have a good chance if you can get the acid to soak the area to break the rust down.

...but on a cycle frame it will always look like what it is - a modern copy - TBH you might as well use hammerite.
At least use Rustoleum so it has a chance of staying on longer!
