A breakthrough in the cheap road bike saga!

Good evening, well some of you may have seen my old thread asking about cheap road bikes. I had budget issues with my parents only willing to pay £100 ! Well my mum came home today and told me she has won £200 of halfords vouchers!

So here I am, i'll be getting a Carrera Zelous, http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_888023_langId_-1_categoryId_165710 . Anyone had one of these / ridden one? How do they feel? and any major kinks?

Congrats on the vouchers very lucky ... I am sure you will look love the ride, it only matters what you feel. Also reviews on the halfords site they are positive.. Good looking with your riding

never had one but just have the tool set handy as i hear carrera's are good bikes just not set up too well

Unfortunately, that's because they are moderated. The bike does look ok for the money though.

Yeah, I'm cool for adjusting it all bar the gears, i cannot adjust gears for my life

looks pretty much the same frame as the tdf/ virtuoso , i would say £269 is about right .
I use a virtuoso for commuting and its lasted a good few years in all weathers.

I sat on the apollo with a 51cm frame and could just about manage, so plenty of growing room.

I have one, im 5ft2 and all they did was cut alittle of the saddle bar and I can touch the floor, if you like tiptoe or lean the bike to one side. I just do not like the pedals that is the only thing i dislike, comfortable ride, easy on the hills too!
