Hello all!

A quick reminder from the mods team about warning points and bans.

If you haven't done so yet, please read CC rules and guidelines as laid out by CC's owner, Shaun.
The mods follow his wishes of keeping CC a pleasant place and family friendly: please do not post anything you would not like your underage family to read.
If you doubt what you want to post is suitable, it probably isn't!
Please use the Contact Us feature before posting content you're unsure of, the mods will advise.

Disregarding CC's rules will result in a warning. The system is set up to give warning points with most warnings – some minor infringements do not carry points.
An accumulation of points will trigger a forum ban, the system automatically decides on the length of bans.
Multiple bans could result in a permanent ban.

If you have been warned and/or banned, and you think it was in error, please use the contact us form to highlight this to the mods.
Please note we will not enter in endless discussions: it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with CC's rules.
After you contact us, we will look into the warning or ban, then make a final decision.

Thanks for reading, enjoy the forum!

How the software auto-ban system works:

Where warning points are issued for site rule breaches the system retains them for one rolling year.

1 point accrued = 1 day ban.

2 points accrued = 1 week ban.

3 points accrued = 1 month ban.

4 points accrued = 3 months ban.

5 points accrued = permanent ban.

Many minor rules infractions incur zero points. Other breaches incur 1 point apiece. In exceptional circumstances points incurred can be increased on an ad-hoc basis.

Please note that bans are not preceeded by any notification of the ban triggering warning itself. The system shifts the user status to 'banned' as soon as the appropriate number of points accrued is reached. This is a system feature that cannot be over-ridden.

Please also note that whilst a ban is in effect we cannot communicate with the banned user. This is despite the fact that the banned user can use Contact Us. Again, this is a system feature that we cannot over-ride.

Reminder: please read the site rules and also remain aware of how online content legislation is changing and your personal responsibilities re your post content. If in doubt re the content of any proposed post please run it by the mods team, before posting on the main site, by using Contact Us.

Thank you for helping to keep the site safe.
