So, I'm 42. I'm a reasonably independent modern woman. I like machines, and oily stuff, and although I'll go Awwww at a kitten, I'm not what most people would call soppy.
So why am I utterly besotted with Zingy, from the EDF adverts?

You are why Marketing people get decently paid.

He is a very useful sort though. He does the vacuuming and the ironing, the laundry and makes smoothies. He is not so good at playing Scalextric.

He also has a good sense of rhythm. An all round sort of guy!

More importantly, he cannot talk, so no silly questions from him, and no back chat! I presume he cannot snore either, so what's not to like?

Seriously though, this advert kept me going and smiling through the two months I spent looking after my mum before she passed away. We even looked into getting one. Too expensive though.

He is a real, not a plastic blobby thing.
Makes me want to get a Harvey. Doesn't make me want to advertise on TV though.
