.......of your bikes and ride it forever more, which one would it be?

n+1 isn't an option and I'm guessing that there's not many of us who only have one.

my tourer as it has dynamo light ( hub) decent drivetrain set, hydraulic brakes, flat bars 700x35 round things and a rack. tis the utilitarian bike. it can go at a fair lick too when i can be bothered . it does annoy the flash roadies at this time of year who have been hibernating since the middle of october and last weekend started to thaw em out ( this week caught a few of us by surprise- this time last yr i was in a short sleeve shirt sweatin me nuts off)

It has to be MTB, I can slot in some wheels with road tires if need be. if I kept the road bike XC would have to stop.

mtb, can go on both road and off road, whereas the road bike cannot do the latter. living so close to london means the over crowded roads are not pleasant to ride on.

I went for tourer - the all-purpose tortoise option. However, I haven't yet seen a tourer with a commode.
