A Disadvantage of Cycling To Work

Found out one disadvantage of cycling to work this morning.
Nice sub-sero morning and the fire alarm goes off but as I cycled in I do not have a coat, so have to stand out in the freezing cold until we are told it was a false alarm.

Clearly your workmates have never been in a real workplace fire. Pausing to get your coat could be the last thing you ever do.

Crikey! I usually carry extra clothing on the bike so I can always be somewhat warm if I stop. Aka CliveP, I am.

Unfortunately my bike is chained to the building, so I think the fire marshals would not have been impressed.

The biggest disadvantage I discovered was a manager whose hatred for me is surpassed only by all things cyclist.

The only disadvantage is that I got to work half an hour ago and I am still sat in my sweaty things....

The disadvantage of cycling into work is actually having to go to work in the first place. I certainly dont go to work for the love of it, but its a needs must and it does pay the bills..
