I went to the funeral of a good friend and colleague.

Somehow the thought of a vulture is more "romantic" than a seagull

I have always thought of Vultures as being rather ugly things, so far from romantic.

That said, a Seagull isn't very romantic either, but at least they look remotly decent.

It's a shame we don't have a "Body Farm" in the UK as I'd be happy for mine to be used for forensic research. Must get round to filling in the forms for medical research. Failing that a "green burial". Rotting inside a sealed box does not appeal.
