I like all the responses in the comments from people giving very detailed and precise reasons as to why this is a very bad idea. Yes, thank you for that guys I'm sure the designers will take all of them on board as they proceed to do absolutely nothing with their design which was obviously a joke.

EDIT looking at the full article that Gizmodo ripped off (ah, Gizmodo, I still haven't forgiven you for naming and shaming the guy who lost his prototype iPhone4 that you stole and wrote a feature on) the general concepts are pretty hilarious!

Probably find out the designers do not ride bicycles and are patting themselves on the back for such a "brilliant" idea.

Here the cyclist passes more safely through a continuous line of taxi tunnels.

They are about 3 & 1/2 months early for April Fools !
