I finally found my activation link in my junk mail folder. Here I am then....
I'm a 60 year old male on a mission. Up until a few weeks ago, I firmly believed Bradley Wiggins had got a lot to answer for! All these chubby, lycra and helmet clad middle aged men suddenly appearing from nowhere!
Then, as part of my own weight loss and fitness plan, I conceded and let my wife buy me a used bike! A 90 quid Claude Butler 'Courier' fixie (set on the freewheel side).
Four months on, two stone lighter (and still losing), I have been bitten.....and hard.
It's been nearly forty years since I felt any 'burn' or the buzz I used to get when training....and I like it.
So hi again, be prepared for many questions, I've never used a bike for fitness before, haven't yet set any goals or ambitions and am not sure which direction I'm headed in yet.
I'm based in Harwich in Essex.
