A Learning Experience

Went for a 12 mile ride this morning. Conditions were just right for me; cold, dry, clear, fresh. It was made even better by being given a learning opportunity by this chap.

That was an awful pass. Last week I was in very slow traffic, on the bumper of the car in front, and STILL someone pulled alongside me in an attempt to pass. Some people just don't get it that you can stay behind a cyclist.

Knock on his roof. It's my new policy for dealing with cars that race me into pinch points. There seems to have been an increase in it lately, not sure why.

Could I pick your brains Gaz? Is it legal for a car to pass through a pinch point on the wrong side of the road. I had someone overtake me in this manner last week. I practically soiled myself as I was about to enter the narrow gap and heard the car behind accelerating wildly.

Cheers. Just checked google maps (link below) and there is a bollard with a keep left sign. I think the driver may have thought he was doing me a favour by giving me space, but hearing loud revs when entering a narrow pinch point is quite nerve-racking.
