And Bristol is cut off from the outside world.

Will they notice? Will we?

They report it like that's a bad thing?

Good point - it does keep those carrot crunchers from Wiltshire out.

I try and avoid the place anyway. It's about 30 miles away and I've only been there twice! Traffic is a bloody nightmare (plus Bath is both nearer and nicer!).

I got so wet yesterday that I could pour the water out of my shoes when I got homexx(, and I noticed that going up the Muller Road I was at least two or three gears slower (in fact so slow that I went through a traffic light on green changed to amber after I crossed the line, but it had gone to red by the time I was at the actual junction so I had to stop by the kerb:blush::biggrin:).

And the cars were all doing silly things near school making it unsafe to be on the road. Amazing what a few flakes of snow can do to cripple a city.

I nearly replied to say I grew up in Buckinghamshire but forgot to put it in my earlier reply, but I used to volunteer in the cafe at that hospital as a kid for a year or so in the 80's, just up the road from where I lived on the outskirts of Burnham (well Taplow ish). When did it close?
