At a four-legged table there is 1 grandma, 2 mums, 2 daughters and a granddaughter. How many legs are under the table?
Ten.

Only three people.

I think you owe us an explanation, seeing as how several of us have already answered the thing.
One grandmother, her daughter and her granddaughter.

One grandmother
Two daughters, one who is the daughter of the grandmother. Means both are mothers.
The granddaughter is both daughter and granddaughter.

Edited to add
This is the explanation for the number of people there.

Three builders are working in a shop refurbishing it. They decided they wanted a radio to listen to.
One of the builders pops to the shop next door to buy one which cost £30 (they put £10 each towards it)
Once the builder had gone, the manager of the shop, tells the assistant the radio he sold should of only been for £25.
He tells him to take the £5 back to them.
Being the sly old devil, the assistant takes 5, 1pound coins out the till and pockets 2 of them.
When he gets to the builders he gives them back the £3 (gives them back £1 each)

These means each builder only payed £9 each now.
So £9 x 3 builders =27 plus the £2 in the assistants pocket =29.
Where's the missing £1

Nice try.

The builders are each £9 out of pocket.

Their £27 has gone: £25 to the shopkeeper and £2 to the cheeky assistant.

Nothing has gone missing.

Pat wanted to leave all of his money to one of his three sons, but he didn't know which one he should give it to.

To help him decide, he called all three to his home, and gave each the same small amount of money with the instruction that they were to buy something that would be able to fill his living room with it.

Jack bought straw, but there was not enough to fill the room. Tom bought some sticks, but they still did not fill the room. Ted bought two things that filled the room, so he obtained his father's fortune.

What were the two things that Ted bought?
