Joe is settling in a bit now. He was exploring earlier, just before I went to work, then when Ms RT came home and went in to see him he didn't bolt behind the sofa but sat placidly washing himself, which is a good sign. Then he began to play with the toys we bought for him and rolled around so Ms RT could tickle his tum. I should be able to get some pics of him tomorrow.

Confidence that they can have a wash in your presence is a good sign. Our rescue cat was particularly timid, and took several weeks before she would have a wash in the same room as us. Now she is lovely company, and comes in to the bedroom every morning for a tickle on her tum, her to cuddle up to an arm, or just pin herself to our back/front as available. Oh, yes, and to purr very loudly.

He has some proper toys, but he likes destroying the carpet best. As they do.

Oh he is a handsome young feline! Pity about his human being tardy with the photos though, producing a daguerreotype print of him would have been quicker ..

Ugly? Only if you force the lense angle and bleach him to the wrong colour!! He has one of those faces that will steal the show every visitor you have!
